Botany Bay Ecotours is owned and operated by a local biologist, so our ecotours are crafted to
help people enjoy and understand the amazing plants and animals that make this area their home. Our programs combine cultural history and natural history because they have been inextricably linked since humans first arrived along our coast. Whether a long-time resident or just visiting, after a tour with us, you'll come away with a better understanding of this wild area of our coast.
We support environmental stewardship by donating a portion of our proceeds to the Learning through Loggerheads student conservation program and local non-profits like the Edisto Open Land Trust and Edisto Island Community Association scholarship fund.
Every summer loggerhead sea turtles come ashore on Botany Bay to lay their eggs. This is a hatchling heading to the ocean.
